21 Lime Street
Lime Street, London
Double Louvre Doors
Lime Street is a new build office and retail site on the corner of Leadenhall Market in the City of London. This luxury office development is surrounded
by other iconic tower developments as well as excellent restaurants, bars and retail shops. This site had laid dormant for many years and during that time has undergone extensive archaeological investigation by the Museum of London, leading to the discovery of various Roman artefacts. This site stands on the true centre of Roman London.
The build process was very complex due to the unique shape of the building and incorporated elements including large pre-cast limestone clad window panels that were lifted into position by a tower crane with expert precision.
The offices were also built to meet a Category A standard with a BREEAM
Very Good rating being awarded. State of the art energy saving lighting and ventilation is being used throughout the building. Working in conjunction with Blenhiem House Construction, GDL designed, manufactured and installed bespoke screen louvres and doors for this project. Our clip on louvres were installed at roof level to screen the plantroom and to maintain the desired aesthetics of the building. Our Louvre range offers excellent functionality, rain defence and aerodynamic performance and can be manufactured to any bespoke size, colour or finish.
