75mm Pitch Louvre Screen and Supporting Steelwork

Project details

The construction at York Place in Battersea is a mixed-use development on the former site of a retail warehouse. The site which is currently underway will be home to the new purpose-built headquarters for The Royal Academy of Dance that will include a public library and café siting at ground level. Above this,
three innovatively designed residential buildings will provide 254 new homes when complete. Designed by Architects Patel Taylor, the aim of this scheme
was to regenerate the space with both local and cultural amenities.

Project overview

Working alongside our client UK Facades we have supplied and installed our 75mm pitch Louvre Screens at York Place inclusive of all the supporting steelwork. We provided the louvre screens, steelwork, posts and rails on each
of the 5 individual towers of apartments at roof level. These screens hide and protect the mechanical plant that has been installed on the roof whilst also maintaining the desired aesthetic for the architect. The pitch of the Louvres have been manufactured to a bespoke size to meet the requirements of the client,
in this instance being set out at 75mm rather than the often specified 100mm.
