Gateway Peterborough is a 180 acre distribution and manufacturing site
with planning consent for 4 million sqft of industrial and distribution buildings including individual buildings up to 800,000 sqft. Located at junction 17
of the A1(M) in Peterborough the site is strategically placed as a North-South
link between London and Edinburgh.

 

Project overview

Working alongside our client Salamanda Ltd, GDL have been appointed to manufacture and install a natural ventilation solution suitable to ventilate
plot 112 of the site which will be occupied by Urban Outfitters as one of their retail distribution centres on completion. Our projects sales team worked closely with the client to find the best natural ventilation solution for this plot, our high-performance Weather Louvres in conjunction with our Low Leakage Dampers were selected. Our roof mounted automatic opening vent units were also selected to help extract the warm stale air.

Natural ventilation is a sustainable and cost effective ventilation method and is particularly effective in open spaces with mixed occupancy levels such as warehouses, gymnasiums, lecture theatres, supermarkets and school classrooms.
